Why this programme is being delivered
Supporting Low-Carbon Home Heating Across Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland must transition towards lower-carbon home heating to meet our regional climate objectives.
While switching from oil to natural gas can reduce home carbon emissions by up to 50%, the gas industry is now exploring how we can reduce emissions even further by combining biomethane ready gas boilers with highly efficient heat pumps.
A Hybrid Heat Pump gives you the best of both worlds. It’s a low carbon heating system combining an electric heat pump with a gas boiler, providing you with reduced emissions without losing the reliable comfort you expect from your gas boiler.
This programme supports selected homeowners across Northern Ireland with financial support to upgrade their oil or gas boiler to a hybrid heat pump.
